Walk, climb and scramble up a gorge in Snowdonia, North Wales. You will jump into plunge pools, walk under waterfalls & slide down slides in this thrilling adventure activity set in spectacular temperate rainforest.

Who is it for?

Gorge Scrambling is a rip-roaring activity that involves climbing up small rockfaces, jumping into natural plunge pools and walking on wet and uneven terrain. It is perfect for people who can swim, are reasonably fit and have a sense of adventure.

We accept children of 13 years and over on our Group Sessions as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

 

Please contact us to arrange a Private Guiding for parents and children under 13 years of age, to arrange your own date.

 

This is a great activity for large groups such as stag and hen parties. 

What equipment do I need?

We will send you a detailed kit list upon booking and again shortly before the event and we will be providing wetsuits and safety equipment.

 

You will need to bring the following items that you don't mind getting wet...

- Swimwear (for under the wetsuit)

- Trainers (or boots with laces)

- Shorts (to wear over the wetsuit)

- Big towel

Where does it start?

We will send you out detailed Event Notes by email shortly before the event which include where and when to meet and parking instructions. It is about a 15 minute drive from the village of Betws-y-Coed

Gorge Scrambling

Activity Description

Gorge Scrambling involves climbing up small rocky walls, traversing ledges across waterfalls, jumping into plunge pools, sliding down natural water slides and walking on wet and uneven terrain. You will ascend a river which cuts through a spectacular gorge in a temperate rainforest here in Snowdonia, North Wales.

Many of the challenges are avoidable but some are essential for you to make progress. If you make it to the end there is a plunge pool that awaits.

Our experienced instructor will help you through all of the challenges.
